| I just got a G SHOCK ATomic chrono watch....AWESOME! anyone ever hear of this watch....you do not set the time- it sets it self according to your time zone.... very cool. I had to look up the price on this thing....$300.00! WOW what a nice watch & XMAS present. |
show us a picture. I have never seen a 300 dollar Casio. |
Could be an MR-G or whatever, the nicer metal ones. I can't say I like the fancier G-Shocks, my plain GW5600J (Atomic Solar G-Shock in the original style case) is one of my favorite watches. |
I was curious and googled Casio myself because I didn't realize that Casio sold a watch that expensive.Your link shows watches at 300 marked down to what ever they where, but other sites have the same watches without the high crossed out prices.Meaning I don't think they ever sold for 300 dollars but is just a selling gimmick. |

Got a MTG900DA-8V at Wally-World for $55 they were going to re-model the jewelry area and clearance sale'd all their watches. Been great so far. My son is pissed because I didn't get the universal remote model instead. I think he is going to buy one just so he can change channels on people without them knowing. |

I got an atomic solar from Target earlier this year. I love it. I set it out in the sunlight now for 2-3 hours on a weekend on my back deck to recharge the battery. Not that much sunlight indoors during the winter months. My battery indicator went from H to Medium. How long will the battery last in M mode until it drops to Low? |
That's the exact one I have |
Nice watch, isn't it? I put it on the window sill every night before bed and it resyncs to the atomic clock while I sleep. |

I've owned my Casio atomic watch for about three years. Keep in mind, at some point, you will have to have the battery changed. Oh, yeah, they do have batteries. They store the solar charge. It took me a lot of looking to find someone local who could/would put in a new one. The watch repair guy who did it normally works on high end Rolexes, Piagets, etc. Charged me twenty dollars and said after mine, he was raising his rate. Other than that surprise expense, it has been an excellent timekeeper. |
I have the same watch. I think I gave $65 for it at the BX a couple of years ago. Damned fine watch, especially the band. It uses screws instead of pins to hold the band on. |
