Has anyone seen that movie? Rented it the other night - I kind of liked it. I liked the part where they were trying to sell a Ruger P 9mm pistol. I also noticed Christian Bale's character was sporting a  Smith and Wesson semi-auto. Maybe a 910.

Yes, I liked that movie. Pretty harsh, but I thought it was pretty good. Christian Bale pulled that role off scary good.

The man also portrays a good Batman, apparently he's also supposed to be John Connor in the next Terminator movie:

Another stereotypical fucked up combat vet movie. They are trying to do the same thing to the Iraq/Afghanistan vets that they did to the Vietnam vets. Make us all seem like basket case losers.

Fuck Hollywood.

I rented Rescue Dawn the other night.  Christian Bale was awesome as an escaping POW.  I'd also recommend The Machinist.  That dude rocks.

Lighten up Francis. What's wrong, you some kinda crazy combat vet ticking time bomb or something?

Fuck Hollywood, yes. But that doesnt mean that there are not some very entertaining flicks out there. This being one of them in my opinion. And just because someone makes a script about a fucked up vet, does not make a personal attack on all our military heroes. It was a good scary-ass movie about a scary-ass dude that was way fucked in the head perhaps before he went off to war.

I thought his character came from growing up in the barrio and his violent tendencies were slightly enhanced/honed by military service.  I think very little of his mental status was caused by his service.
