Just got a bottle of Tullamore Dew for a Christmas present and since I'm a novice whiskey drinker, what's the best way to enjoy a nip of this fine nector

Neat, IMO.

I like Tullys, as well.

A leeeetle bit of water with it is OK if that's the way YOU prefer it.  Good stuff.

Stay safe

Wild Turkey 101 if you please.

Just like the picture you posted...in a glass with some good ice.  Irish whiskey is normally pretty smooth as compared to most other whiskeys.  Unless you already have a preference for bourbon or scotch, you will like it.  I think irish whiskey is distilled three times, but I am not sure if this helps account for it's smoothness.

Great stuff.
I used to get it in the stone jug, but I haven't touched the stuff in years.

I prefer on the rocks, but that's just me.

PS if you like Tully you may want to try Jameson 12 yr (NOT the "regular").  Totally different level of enjoyment IMO.  Also, if you can find it, Redbreast.

"Give every man his Dew."

This is best drunk neat to fully enjoy the flavor. Though with a splash of water or an ice cube or two is perfectly acceptable too.

I've been nursing a jug of that myself, but only in very small quantities.  Had a bad experience with whiskey once.....

Mix it with Mountain Dew.

Then you can be drinking a Dew Dew.....

Which is just about what it would taste like
