I need a quick answer. What caliber size of cleaning products do I need for a Mosin Nagant M44 7.62x54R? All the cleaning products I've seen are in standard format. I'm thinking maybe .30-something? Also what length of a cleaning rod do I need, to clean from breech to muzzle? Thanks! |
Water, check. Bucket, check. Dish soap, check. Metal cleaning rod, check. Old rag, check. Rinse and repeat. |

another m44 tip, shoot the gun till its hot and pour a mix of water and windex down the bore. little cooking/oil change funnel helps everyone always says get the water hot so you can dissolve the corrosive salts . . . so why work so hard? let the weapon boil its own water |
I use a 48 inch rod, so that it will work on the long rifles like the 91/30. |
Why does that sound like a bad idea? I'm thinking along the lines of warping the barrel. Hot metal, cold water? |
) and I want to have my supplies in order. I'm getting a Dewey rod.
