[ARCHIVED THREAD] - I need some help finding this

I need a 14" factory 870 barrel for my SBS. I cannot find anywhere that will sell the barrel to anyone non le.

ETA: I don't know much about NFA stuff. I'm not allowed to have a tax stamp in the Republik of NY.

Yep, every place I have seen has a disclaimer: "will only sell to LE/military."

Maybe you can find a reputable machinist here on ARFCOM to turn down a barrel for you.

I've already got my bbl. cut to 14". I just want a factory bbl. with the bead and riser set up. Also, I would like the factory bbl. b/c it would have a fixed choke in it. My choke went bye bye when I cut the bbl. down, and I really don't want to have interchangeable chokes put in.

I've heard less than stellar things about botach. Thanks for the link, but I am going to avoid them.

Plus $200 seemed kind of high for the bbl. Hell, I gave that for the gun.

Try contacting Remington directly. Explain your situation. Maybe they can help you out. It's worth a shot.

I am going to try them on Monday. I am also going to contact one of their distributors. If that fails I have a friend who is a cop who said he should be able to order it for me
