Looking for an auto knife with the safety but cant seem to find one other than the Microtech Exodus which costs like $700 bucks. Does anyone know of other ones that have the safety for carrrying?

I have their LUDT. It doesn't have a safety, unless you count the fact that you have to mash a recessed button as a "safety." I've never had it open. I carry it daily.

What if you sit down on the button or something like that? I would probably keep mine in a back pocket, opposite side of CCW pistol.

I haven't owned one for a long time, but the Microtech UMS has a safety.

It ain't gonna open and if it does hit something when it opens it won't have enough force to do any real damage.

Knifes?

Look for a used Scarab if you're interested in auto. Otherwise a manual SOCOM or Amphibian is probably a good choice. Good luck finding a good vendor, most dealers are a little pissed at Microtech due to their business practices.

You got some learnin' to do. Check your state laws to see if you can carry an auto (or "switchblade") knife. AFAIK, Oregon and Florida are the only two states that allow you to carry one on your person. Many states require you to be .mil or LEO/FD/EMS to carry/own one.

And switchblades were largely banned thanks to James Dean and the like,
scaring the shit out of stupid people with movies that featured them.

The way I carry it, the release button is against my leg. In a rear pocket I would think it would be more prone to open if the button faced out. Not frequent, but possible.

Yep. It will open as wide as your pocket. Worst thing is a hole in your pants when you close it.
