Today is December 7, 2007. It has been 66 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor. Total casualties for that day were 2,388 KIA 1,178 WIA. Don't forget to have a moment of silence for those men and women. Semper Fi my brothers |
 My grandpa was in the Navy Pacific Fleet before Pearl was hit... Interesting thing is, all of his superior officers were preaching that war with Japan was inevitable years earlier, and they all knew it would be a surpise attack. I missing granddaddy's Navy stories...my grandpa was something else...was a lightweight boxer in the Navy, a navagator, served on a pigboat at one time, and nailed every hooker that was doing business in Asia! |
