| Norinco Mak 90 with underfolder |
Got me. I was under the impression the MAK-90s were "sport" versions with the thumbhole stock to allow them to be imported under the assault weapons ban. I always have my eyes open for MAK-90s. All I've ever seen "new in box" had the thumbhole stock. I've seen a couple that were advertised as modified with an underfolder. I just assumed ALL MAK-90's came with the thumbhole stock. Around here, those average around $425 for a good used one. |

Just my two cents...but I thought MAK-90's were all post ban. I bought one in 96 or 97 with thumbhole stock and 500 rds for $300. Might ask in the AK forums, but I think you would need to change the rear trunion(the metal block the stock fits into) to add a folding stock. Plus you would need to meet the forgien parts count under whatever law (922r maybe) Again just what I think is right, one of the board AK experts will come along and correct me....
