Since I am working far away from my hometown currently I ate my Thanksgiving meal alone at Boston Market with the newest Stephen Hunter novel as company.  This was actually significantly better than eating with family at home since it didn't involve faking interest in or affection for relatives I actively avoid for the rest of the year.

Anyway, I've never had a bad meal at Boston Market.  I like getting the Chicken Pot Pie on lunch breaks once in a while since it is incredible, and the baked chicken I had on Thanksgiving was near-perfect.  All the sides are great too.  I'm surprised that what is essentially a fast food place is so consistently good.

When the wife first dragged me ther I really didn't want to like them, but I did.

Not bad for what they are.

Better than most fast serve joints.

Seems to be institutionalized home cooked food. Like what you expect in a hospital cafeteria.

I have only ate there a few times 10 plus years ago... what sticks in my mind was the small portions and higher than average cost.

Very few of them in the PNW

Boston Market started out really good back in the day but I haven't eaten there in probably 7-8 years because they started to go downhill back then, at least round here.

Maybe they've gotten better again?

I love Boston Market food, but I have never been there and had my order correct and complete first time around.

the entire chain was closed down in Alabama due to unsat health ratings.

it takes a LOT for the state to run out an entire chain here.

Oh man, I love the Boston Market.  Every time I say the name I have to say it with a really annoying Boston accent though, like "bestin meh kit".

It's kind of pricey compared to the rest, but the quality is there.  I love the yams there, but make sure they give you extra "top".

High price low portion IMHO. I still eat it though when the mood strikes about once every two years.

I'm in the refrigeration business and was in a couple of the local Boston Market kitchens. I  will NEVER EVER eat anything out of a Boston Market again. I see a lot of kitchens in my work but they stood out as a couple fo the worst I EVER went into.... including several Chinese restaurants which are notorious for NASTLY kitchens, but not as bad as those! I could go into details but I won't. I try to forget about disgusting stuff like that.

I have had their food a few times, was OK, just $$ for what you were buying portion wise.

I enjoy the food well enough - but feel it is over priced.

I used to hang out with the guy who started Boston Market (Kip Kolow. It was originally Boston Chicken). Very nice, very intelligent guy. He and his (then girlfriend) came and stayed at my place a time or two. I lost touch with him and wish I hadn't. Anyway, he sold out and hasn't had to work since. Sounds great, but he has constant back pain and a train-wreck marriage. I wouldn't trade places with him.

It was good back when it was Boston Chicken.  The food was of a higher quality, and portions were larger.  After it was sold, and the new corporations tried a way too aggressive growth plan, it went in the shitter.  So pre-Market = good, post-Market = bad.

Not bad for FF, but tons of sodium.
