McFadden FTW! He pretty much single-handedly beat LSU, the number one team in the country. McFadden rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns. He also threw a touchdown pass. Now, Tebow is good, but lets be honest here - he's playing on a National Championship team under a great coach. McFadden is having to play on a mediocre team under coach Houston Nutt . Not even Tebow could beat LSU this season...but McFadden didBesides, there's always next year for Tebow - just give McFadden the trophy this year, and let Tebow have it next year. I see no problem with that.

He's a system QB and Tech will never get respect. He ain't the best either, I thought BJ Symons had the best year of any of their QB's. |

On November 3rd, 2007, McFadden tied the Southeastern Conference single-game rushing record (Frank Mordica, Vanderbilt, 1978 vs. Air Force) with 321 yards rushing against the University of South Carolina. D-Mac, as he is known by fans, is third all-time in career rushing yards in the SEC (Southeastern Conference) with 4,485 yards, behind only Kevin Faulk of LSU (4,557), and Herschel Walker of Georgia (5,259). Darren is also currently tied for seventh place in the SEC with Charles Alexander of LSU for career TD's with 40. McFadden has 1,725 yards rushing on 304 carries and 15 TD's, plus he has thrown for 4 TD's, and has 1 TD reception. He leads the SEC and is third in the nation in rushing yards. Darren has also been named a finalist for the 2007 Doak Walker Award and the 2007 Maxwell Trophy, which is given to the most outstanding overall player in the nation. On Nov. 23, 2007, McFadden led Arkansas to a 50-48 3 overtime victory over the #1 ranked LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, LA. D-Mac rushed 32 times for 206 yards and 3 TD's, and completed 3 of 6 pass attempts for 34 yards and a passing TD. It was Arkansas' 8th victory of the season, and the first win over LSU in four years. D-Mac and the Razorbacks were awarded the Golden Boot (a trophy in the shape of the states of Arkansas and Louisiana overlaid with gold, it is the heaviest such trophy in the nation at 123 lbs.) which will be on display at the Broyles Center on the UofA campus until the outcome of next year's (2008) game. I love that "system qb" bullshit. I'm no Red Raider fan, but I definately am a Harrell fan. He has a release that makes Marino look slow. He can thread the needle like no QB that has ever played. 45 TD's. Leach needs a power running back that can put close games away and Texas and OU will be in trouble. |

I think that Tim Tebow gets it this year. He has put up outstanding numbers on a team that is ranked in the top 25 and has played some tough opponents. It i shard to vote against someone that has scored 51 touchdowns. McFadden has also put up good numbers, and he has put up his biggest numbers in big games. I think that he will come in either second or third in the Heisman voting. I think that Chase Daniels will probably end up either second or third in the voting as well. No one was expecting Missouri to play this well and he was a large part of that. He did an outstanding job against the #2 team in the country last night. He also has put up good passing and touchdown numbers. |

Graham Harrell is a good quarterback putting up great numbers. Next year, with an older, better defense and maybe a running game, he will be a great quarterback putting up extraordinary numbers that will make that Brennan guy look like yesterday's newspaper. Of course, I freely admit I am biased---I graduated from Tech and am terminally afflicted with Red Raider-itis. I'm hoping they come to San Antonio for the Alamo bowl, but I believe that A&M sewed that up when they beat the t-sippers. pato |
