If you held a group of people in contempt and basically looked down on most of the folks in that group, would you continue to hang out with those people or find a group that you felt was more up to your standards?

Find some new friends.

Unless it is your family or in-laws - then you are just stuck. Of course, you could move to a different state like I did to get away from em.
