For occasional use , go with the Personal account .   It's going to take a week or so to get set up and " Confirmed " , or whatever they call it .

If you set up a paypal account you can then charge the item to your credit card or a direct payment from your checking account.  If the seller accepts it go aheaed and use a U.S. Postal Money order.

I know paypal and egay are the debil.  But the convience of paypal is unbeatable, plus the interest rate they give is damn good.

Ebay allows me to make money on shit that otherwise would go in the trash or to goodwill.

I temper their evilness and console myself with the fact that 99.9% of the money I derive from ebay and get via paypal goes toward firearms or firearms related activties or purchases.

If the seller never sends you what you paid for, and he empties his PayPal account before you file a claim, you will be screwed. Ask me how I know.
