My dishwasher is not draining water...anyone else had this happen?  What might it be?

The question is moot.  You are the dishwasher.

J/K

Look for crud obstructing the drain hole in the bottom of the unit.  You might have to wrassel the damned thing out of its nest and look it over. The pump housing IIRC is semi-transparent and you can see if there is any junk in there. Those things are worth their keep when they operate as engineered but a pain in the ass when they fail.

Good luck.

A bad timer will also cause the water not to drain.

I think I will just kick the damn thing a few good times and see if it will work...
