So, here's what I want to do. I want to be able to put a password on a folder, then stick that folder on my thumb drive and be able to still open it on any computer. The only software i've run into so far requires you to have the program installed on the computer in order to unlock the folder. I'd like something that wouldn't require me to install the software on the computer before I unlock it. Anybody have any ideas?

Actually, since I carry work information on the same thumb drive that I carry my work back and forth to school on, I need to be able to lock the work folder so that in the event my thumb drive is accessed without my permission, they won't get into some of the more private company stuff.

Problem with that is that i'd have to decompress it all every time I want to look at it. I thought about doing that, but once I got into DVD territory (4.7gig) it takes forever to decompress it.
