Anybody doing it? How is it working? I blew a disk and my sciatics are having to take a serious detour around it. The doctor is recommending surgery but I thought as cheap as the tables are I might try one. |
Afer reading up on how the Japanese have been using inversion for 1000's of years, I figured I'd try it. I've injured my sciatica numerous times as well as having a compressed disc in my lover back. I used the inversion table religiously fo about 6 mos, and have since stoppped using it. I feel absolutly no pain whatsoever in my back anymore. I'm also in excellent shape. Running 4x a week as well as working out 5x a week. Keeping my BF at or below 9% at 5'9" and weighing 167lbs. Try it!!! It worked for me!! |

1 year of rehab 7 Spinal procedures (epurdals/Discograms ets..) 1 spinal fusion (screw pierced nerve for left leg) 1 leftside hardware removal from S1/L5 10 months of rehab, I still have a limp and constant pain if Im not laying flat. On the 10/24/07 Im am having a Racz's cathidure performed to break up the scar tissue caused by the hardware from 1st spinal fusion. Even if the table doesnt work for you do EVERYTHING you can to avoid surgery. Find a rehab place that does spinal rehab only. I have been to three different rehab places and the first two hurt me worse and they were recommended by the Ortho who did my fusion. When I wasnt getting any better my insurance company sent me to Spinal works . After just a 3 sessions I few better and had lass swelling than I had had in months. I learned the hard ways there a plenty of halfass rehab places out there. If you havent been to a good rehab place unless they work on chronic spine problems. Ive watched a few people rehab themselves back to heath without any operations. These were chronic disc pain sufferers. I take MORE pain meds AFTER my Spinal fusion than I did before they cut on me, just to get around. The only saving grace is I can sleep up to 5-7 hours in a row. Before I couldnt lay down for more than a few hours unless I was sedated. The longer you can hold out the better the options will be for your problem. |
Yeah, and it can also increase the cartilidge in yuor spine, making you taller. |

I got one and you guys are right! I paid $100 more than I wanted to spend but I got it NOW instead of 8 to 10 days. I got on it for about 1 minute to test the adjustment and I can feel the difference already! I feel like I just got back from the chiropractor but I still have the $80 in my pocket! |

THIS is very similar to the one I got from Dicks except mine has a much heavier square tube frame and it doesnt have that weird ankle adjuster stick. Thats what I paid. |
|
Just make sure that you keep up with the frequency of use. Every night worked for me. I noticed that when I missed a few days in the beginning, I felt it. Also, build up your tolerance to the inversion. Start by inverting 1 min at a time, and increasing it by 1 min a week. |

Sears has a Nordic Track inversion table on sale till next weekend for $149. It has a lot of adjustability. HERE I'm gonna pic one up tomorrow. |
I just went and got one. Dicks is taking back the first one. The Nordic Track looks like something you would find in a professional gym, its 10 times the table the other one is. |
The sears I want to today was out of both things I wanted (This, and a cheap electric dryer) so I have to have them shipped. I did look at it though and it is a beast. Oh, also this same table is sold as a Reebok table, just different colors. |
