Love that flick! Makes me want a Challenger! Just put on the newer version with Viggo Mortenson in it. Anyone else seen it?

I saw it the 1st time at the drive-in. Had a pretty hot '69 Mach 1 back then.

Lol, there is no doubt that the stats will be more impressive for the Challenger when it comes out vs. the Camaro. The new Viper will also own the new Corvette when it is released. Even if only temporarily, Chrysler will continue to 1 up the 'Vette until they are forced to go forced induction. Then what?  Forced inuduction V-10 vs. forced induction V-8, you take your pic  Modern  Chrysler isn't fucking around anymore. The WILL be on top, even if only for one model year, but they will beat that one way or another. Given, the Viper-owner demographic does NOT want forced induction on the Viper, if it means beating the Z06 or whatever 'Vette holds the crown, no holds will be barred

WTF

They have cars sitting in the Conner Ave. Plant built in 2003 they can't sell.   Rumor is Cerberus is going to kill the platform.

Current rumor is that Chrysler is putting a dual OHC 4v hemi in it as a top engine, along with the current 392ci hemi.

Are you serious? They're going OHC?

Fuck that shit, I'm not interested anymore.

Rumor.  And it might be a great deal for the overall power and drivability.

"On Aug. 17, 2007, a rumor surfaced that the 2008/2009 Challenger SRT will, in fact, be powered by a 7.0L hemi engine - marking the return not only of the Challenger marquee, but also of a 426 cubic inch displacement engine. The engine reportedly will be based (loosely based) on the current hemi engines, but will feature four valves per cylinder with dual-independent variable cam timing. Reportedly, this step was needed to best the Chevrolet LS7 engine, which is slated for the 2009 Camaro redux. Performance figures for the 7.0L hemi have not been disclosed yet."

Don't ask for a link, as this is from wiki.

Then it's obvious it's bullshit, since the LS7 isn't OHC.

not to mention the fac tthat the LS7 wont be produced for assembly line cars then either.

btw, vanishing point really is awsome... check ou ttheir race cars www.vpracecars.com/informationPage.asp?whichOne=3

I've wanted to rent it ever since I saw Death Proof because they referenced that film quite a bit.  With your thumbs up, I'll check it out this weekend.
