Rule #1- .22 LR doesn't count. Rule #2- Shotgun ammo sort of counts but don't expect a case of Walmart 7 1/2 shot 100 round value pack to get much respect (Slug and buckshot are ok) Rule #3- Having enough centerfire ammo to build an ammo fort gains much respect.

I'm talking realistic. The pallet thing is funny, but I would be really surprised if more than two or three here REALLY have ever, for personal use and with personal funds, bought ammo on a pallet. |
That's the only way to buy from the l48 if you want S&H to be acceptable. I've never gotten in on those pallet buys, but I think the guy who usually does it buys to feed his hungry MGs. |
I think your estimate of "2-3 here" and "ever" would be low....  Advertising is for suckas. |
Too bad much of the surplus/military ammo costs more than "factory" ammunition. |
 Who cares if its PREMIUM ammo? It still goes bang and travels down range. |
There is that whole corrosive versus non corrosive eating up the cheap guns it goes in. Make no mistake, I have more of the uber cheap milsurp ammo that I do other, but it just doesnt count. |
my mil-surp ammo is not corrosive, and I have it on pallets. so what's your point.? yotes and targets still have the same holes in them as premium ammo. and I buy smarter, not harder.

So all the SA .308/5.56, Hirt .308 and LC and WCC 5.56 I bought at less than qtr of the going rate doesnt count. But the if I bought Prvi at 30 cents a round it does. Where does the Q3131A and XM193 fit in. Guess only the BH MK262 and 75 BTHP would count - not sure the TAP steel case practice would fit. Bad rule Luck Alac |

I've never had ammo delivered on a pallet or by a semi-truck. Always UPS. But, true story: I noticed I had a new UPS guy a few months ago. Had a decent sized delivery and when I heard the truck I went outside to meet him in the driveway. Asked what happened to the other dude and he said that he's been out with a bad back. Seems he hurt himself carrying ammo to my door. |
I do for work. And since I'm a small business, I technically bought the first 200K with personal funds (a loan from me to the business). |
There's probably a women's forum somewhere that dispenses the same advice (in reverse), and is just as well received.

Actually, if you don't brag about it, you don't have to worry about other people figuring out where you are and either relieving you of it, or bitching to the man that you're risking a catastrophe because of the amount. |

Exactly why i dont brag about my pathetic little pile. I dont even think its deserves the term "cache" Im only sitting on a couple hundred centerfire rds. |
