| When paying an invoice via paypal.com, you are given the option of paying directly from your checking account or using a backup source such as a credit card. Is the recipient of the payment required to pay service fees even if it's directly from a checking account or is that only if it's using a credit card? |

OK, I just found out. Sorry for the trouble. Receiving payments that are funded by Paypal balance, instant bank transfer, or eChecks are completely free, even with a personal account. Receiving payments funded by credit card, debit card or buyer credit costs 4.9%. Withdrawing money from your paypal account is free. 4.9% is seems a little high, but it's only 1-2% more than what a retail merchant pays. |
Don't forget the potential cost that exists by their ability, and willingness to seize funds for any reason (or no reason) and hold them for 180 days. Use Google checkout. www.paypalsucks.com/ |
