Does anyone else hate the newegg website in it's current form? Newegg, years ago used to be so simple and fast that I could get what I need in a few clicks and I was done. Now I have to wade through all manner of crap to find common items and it's soooooo slow now. I am still on dial-up and was looking for a cable modem. Guess what, on the sidebar search in "modems" I had every option in the world to click, except "cable modem" or "DSL modem". But now if I wanted something that had exactly 8132 kbps, I was set. The last computer equipment order I made of an ext. hdd enclosure and a wap, I got so frustrated with newegg, I used another online vendor.I think that they assume everyone now has broadband. But I also feel the website is no where near as intuitave as it once was. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way I do. |
Not just newegg. Dude, nearly every site worth visiting is painful to use on dialup (arfcom comes to mind). I didn't like it, but I never expected sites to accommodate me. And I wouldn't call EVDO a last resort. It's so damn cool, I'd keep it even if I had DSL or cable. The only time I notice a difference between this and traditional broadband connections, is when I'm downloading something pretty damn big (which isn't that often, really). |
