Does anyone else hate the newegg website in it's current form? Newegg, years ago used to be so simple and fast that I could get what I need in a few clicks and I was done. Now I have to wade through all manner of crap to find common items and it's soooooo slow now. I am still on dial-up and was looking for a cable modem. Guess what, on the sidebar search in "modems" I had every option in the world to click, except "cable modem" or "DSL modem". But now if I wanted something that had exactly 8132 kbps, I was set. The last computer equipment order I made of an ext. hdd enclosure and a wap, I got so frustrated with newegg, I used another online vendor.

I think that they assume everyone now has broadband. But I also feel the website is no where near as intuitave as it once was.  Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way I do.

This is the perfect place to complain! The newegg.com web site staff is viewing this thread as we speak.

+1. Seriously, I think they've examined their customer base and decided that "you ain't it".

You can say that now, since you had to resort to EVDO. I'm sure, just to use newegg.

Not just newegg. Dude, nearly every site worth visiting is painful to use on dialup (arfcom comes to mind). I didn't like it, but I never expected sites to accommodate me.

And I wouldn't call EVDO a last resort. It's so damn cool, I'd keep it even if I had DSL or cable. The only time I notice a difference between this and traditional broadband connections, is when I'm downloading something pretty damn big (which isn't that often, really).

Just placed a thousand dollar order there this morning. For the most part I like their site organization.
