We took the kid to the pumpkin patch this weekend out in the country. Passed a dozen or sow farms with cattle grazing as well as a few pens and an auction yard. Wife said to me, poor cows. Poor cows my ass. If we didn't eat cows would they have gone extinct? Most (grazing) cows seem to live a pretty nice life. They also die a quick death, unlike wild animals. I'd much rather take a .22 to the head than suffer some disease that leaves my brain frying and me foaming out the mouth for days before I die. Personally I think they got it pretty good and if we all were PETA people the dumb animals wouldn't even exist. So, would these giant meat buffet's even be around if it wasn't for humans raising, protecting , and eating them? |
