I tried to download and load a program (NERO) and it said it had to restart. When it did, I got a message saying it couldn't find my profile, so now it logs me on with a temporary every time. I can go into the drive and look at all the stuff that's on my old desktop and everything, but I can't get it to load my old settings. Anyone know how to fix this?

Start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore, restore computer to an earlier time.

I would goto User Accounts first and see what is up. Was this the first time you installed the Nero? If not what did you check when it asked you if "this is a restore" or "Putting on multiple computers"? I use Sys Restore as last resort.

I had Nero on here before, but the demo version had expired. I downloaded a new version and this happened after the restart.

I already got rid of everything associated with it once I ran into this issue. I already did the system restore and it half worked. Some of the settings are back to default, and some are the way I had them.

What can I check under the User Accounts?
