Make sure that you use a separate checking account for your paypal account.  If someone hacks in, they can quickly clean out your account.

Also, if selling don't be surprised when some ass denies authorizing a charge or they use a stolen credit card number and paypal sucks the money out of your account.  The scammer gets the goods and you lose the money and sometimes it can happen MONTHS after the sale!

PayPal does suck but I still use it as there are so many people that do use it that want to buy stuff but I have been stiffed several times because of PayPal.  I just have not fund a good replacement yet.

But...  You filed a complaint with them and got your money back, right?

As the seller, whoever the thief bought the items from, paypal then went in and pulled the money out of their bank account with no warning or notice.  I have had it happen to me at least 4 times this year now and as a small business it really hurts.

I don't allow PayPal from a stranger for bigger purchases but if I didn't take paypal I would also lose a good amount of business.  i would have lost the money as well if I used a merchant account and they put a charge back through my account.

Sucks, but the criminals are the problem there...
