My brother wants to give me a 32" RCA TV.

However, after the TV is on about 10 seconds, the controls freeze.  You can not adjust the volume, change the channel, etc.

The model is 32V520T (M134C, not sure what that is for).

Any ideas on what is wrong with this TV.  It's only about 1 1/2 years old.

Thanks.

Replace the batteries in the remote.

via front controls or remote?

Some sort of thermal issue. Would probably have to crack it open and know where the circuitry is for all that stuff and hit some components up w/ coolant spray to see if the controls come back.

Hmmm maybe a capacitor issue. Could be a few things I guess. TV's can be scary to work on.

Go out and get a new HDTV and be done w/ it

Hey, it's free!

Set it on the History Channel and adjust the volume within the first 10 seconds then turn on and off as needed.
