I'm taking a guess that the breech of the gun failed to contain the blast of the round. Of course, if that were the case, I don't see how that gunner would have made it out alive, so honestly, beats me. Edit: Somebody in the comments field thinks the breech failed as well. |
It looks like they were putting on a demonstration- look at all the people watching in the background. So they were using blanks. |
Yeah, but I doubt the demonstration involved the gunner getting out and going to sit down in pain like that. |
