This happened at a MG shoot I was at on Saturday. The Guy is quite fortunate. I know nothing about anvil launching, but I heard him mention something about a powder leak.

His left leg was about 6" from an explosion big enough to launch an anvil 10 feet.

My guess is that he'll be digging frag out of his ass for the next couple of months.

He seemed ok, Acted like nothing happened. Went on to shoot his beltfed a couple minutes later.

For some reason shooting an anvil straight up into the air seems like a bad idea.

Maybe I don't understand pin shoots (not Mr. .50's target), but that idea has always seemed dangerous to me.
