I think I'll get the wife to go get me a 6 pack right now.

ETA:  She said she'd go if I cleaned the kitchen.  I think I'll just pick some up tomorrow.

I've got a whole case of it from Sam's Club in the basement. My brother bought it, not my favorite. I think I'll go chill one just to join in the fun though.

Yep, I'm going to go get one right now, you talked me into it.

The Boston Ale is also a fine choice.

Summer Ale is hard for me to find now as summer is over, but that is even better.

Whats it taste like. According to most here I have a bad taste in beer. I like Heineken light and bud light.
Ive been hearing lots of people say good things about Oberon.

I find it too sweet / malty.  Prefer the Lager.

Sam Adams are some of the smoothest beers even their light is great tasting.

Skrew it, I'm going to pop this one open at the temperature of my basement. Why wait?

Vaquero, does your bottle have the 'month brewed' 'enjoy by'notch on the label?

My Octoberfest is notched that it was born in will be best before February

I just had one while out to dinner.  Very very good.  Great taste, not too heavy (not that there is anything wrong with that), but still full bodied.  I say A-

yup pretty good stuff. not the best, but pretty good. it does seem like it's been better in years past for some reason. sams is a great place to buy it too, but usually runs out quick.

Jim Koch says....

"We brew Samuel Adams OctoberFest to celebrate the arrival of autumn.  This hearty lager is rich with a blend of five malts, carefully balanced with hand-selected Noble hops.  Samuel Adams OctoberFest is a classic beer style brewed in the finest American tradition.  Cheers!"

I say.  It tastes like a bottle of cool autumn evening handed to me from heaven by Jesus.

My sentiments. Give me a Guinness anyday.

I'm pretty open minded about beer though, my favorites to enjoy are stouts. But I'm not opposed to pouring on a pile of light domestics if the mood strikes me.

Which it does.

Im with you there i love Extra Stout Guinness, the Draught is ok but if i have the choice its all about the ES. As far as Sammy Boy's Octoberfest, its great beer. I think Sammual Adams is about the best commercial American beer out there...

Ahhh the Guinness.  I love it too.

Sam is my version of a light beer though.

I like the BREWER * PATRIOT at the bottom of the label. Not a bad beer at all.

When I go to the bars, I almost exclusively drink the Boston Lager drafts, only second to Shipyard Export Ale.

I'm uncertain of it's availabily outside of the Maine/NH area, but it is without a doubt my favorite ale. Very similar to the Boston Lager, only slightly more bitter.  MMMmmmm...

We have a beer store here in town that has a ton of different micro-brews.  I'll look for that next time I am in there.  I'm always up for a new beer to try.

I drink Sam Adams every once and a while, but the Octoberfest is awesome.
A kick ass Octoberfest beer is Old Dominion Octoberfest.

Time to switch from the Summer ale to the October fest
And to think I use to drink Bush.

Sound like I will have to give it a try. For a  big label beer their Boston Lager is always a safe bet. I tried their nasty ass cherry wheat one and dumped the crap out.

I will give this one a shot though.

I have seen Old Dominion (I think their regular beer...can't remember) in the store here.  I haven't tried it yet though.  I had never heard anything about it.  Now I can give it a try!

A buddy of mine has a wife that works for the Boston Beer Company.  She gets two free cases of Sam Adams a month.  She hot (way too hot for him, he married FAR up), her family's rich (they bought them a sweet house), and she's a tolerant, sweet person.

Yes, I hate him like no other...

If it tastes anything like regular Sam Adams where if I could have drank Sulfuric Acid without doing permanent damage to get rid of the aftertaste, I would have drank a gallon of it......then I'll pass.

Sammy A Octoberfest is good stuff.

When you get a chance try some Spaten Octoberfest.
That stuff is even better!

I loooooove fest beer.

(Never pass on Beck's Octoberfest either, but it is not nearly as good as Spaten)

It has an aftertaste.

Let me see if I can describe it...

It tastes like a dozen beautiful little pixies flew in my mouth and sprinkled it with happiness......

Yep.  That's it.

Listen here people.  I have a job and I have classes to go to.  Quit telling me more beer to try!  WTF are you people trying to do to me?!?!?!?

I will cause I got a whole damn 1/2 keg of  SA OctoberFest in the man cave.  I treat myself to a keg of each seasonal SA beer when it comes out then I go back to the cheaper stuff.

Nothing better then a nice draft Octoberfest whilst sitting in your man cave in your underwear being a man.

I still have some Sam Adams double bock in my beer fridge from 2 years ago that I'm afraid of.
