Ok, Im a Pantera fan, they kick ass. I kinda like the new band Hellyeah, I just cant get over the whineyness of of they constantly talk of Dimebag. It seems they cant get over his death, yes tragic and uncalled for, but still. Cant Vinnie move on along with the other band members? Im kinda annoyed. Am I cold hearted or are there others that feel simular about this?

Pantera to me was one of those bands that when they made good songs the were outstanding, but most of their stuff was crap IMHO.

YMMV

Flame suit on.

I have some pics of Pantera before they were popular.

Used to go watch them at Savey's in Arlington TX.

They wore tights and makup like Motley Crue and Dimebag tipped the scales about 90 lbs soaking wet.

If I knew how I would post them on here ( old dog, new trick )

Exhorder > Pantera

P.S. To add to the previous posts, Dimebags Death was tragic but he wasn't that impressive of a guitar player.

That guy Pantera is a good singer but I heard he was so angry all the time because he was buggered by the butler in a cookie monster suit.

I grew up listening to Pantera and worshiping Dimebag, so his death was pretty tragic to me.   I love the band and love their music.  I remember doing a ton of shots of Jack at 3 AM after I found out he died.

I've heard that Pantera ripped off Exhorder before.  What are some Exhorder songs that I should listen to so that I can hear the similarities?

Anything from Exhorder, will sound exactly like Pantera.

Death In Vain, Homicide, Desecrator, Legions of Death, Unforgiven.

flamesuit on.  I love Pantera and no one will ever replace Dimebag for what he could do and bring to the metal industry.  Now w/ that said.  There are a lot of other bands out there or around that time that were just as good to listen to.  Pantera just happened to be in the right place at the right time.  Same w/ Metallica (look up the band Testament and then look where Metallica is and look where Testament is....)

I personally love pantera.

I thought all their albums were good in their own way.

After its all said and done I liked cowboys from hell the best.

"come and be with me, live my twisted dream".

How about we have someone shoot your brother in the face right in front of you and see how long it takes you to get over it?

ETA:

Hellyeah = Win
Pantera = Win times infinity
