my guess is the other forum auto hotlinks but truncates the shown text, hence the ...
OP copied the text that was displayed in the post since it was easier to copy and paste both at once vs opening each link and copying it from the address bar

The worst of it is the seller has to pay a final value fee on the insane selling price. (Not really if the buyer welches) but I'm sure it still looks scary on his Ebay account and Ebay is usually set up to automatically debit your credit card for the seller fees. Could be a bit of a mess to sort out.
