I was checking them out and it seems that they are made in China now.

The one I bought years ago was made by Granite out of Texas (by God).  It seems to be pretty stout.

The quality of the Chinese one was crappy IMHO, and they are every bit as expensive.

Bass Pro isn't necessarily the place to shop for quality...
They're like the WalMart of sporting goods stores IMHO.

Hmmm...

I just bought a redhead theft guard from them becuase my Champion over-flowed.  Guess I bought it from China.

I bought the Cabela's safe a few years ago.  I got it home and while pulling the box off we found the Champion safe company printed on the inside of the box,  with Cabela's on the outside.  Are Champion safes decent?
