I have an old Inspiron 2600. Bought the thing (I think) in 2001. I have not had the slightest problem with it in all that time even with daily use and rough treatment, but the battery pack is starting to fail. I'm doing good to get 20 minutes from it these days. As my use is pretty much confined to watching DVD's while camping and typing reports in the car this leads to a problem. I have to carry an inverter to run the thing. My question is, how much dinero am I looking at for a replacement? Is the computer even WORTH getting a new battery for or should I just get another laptop? |
