Is it really any good?  Never tried it.  I don't think I've ever seen it in GA.

Chili in TN?  I don't know.  I think it would be a crapshoot.

It is as close to TX as it is to OH.

I just liked going to the skyline chilli on Ludlow Ave in Cincinnati.  It was open till 4 am and once the bars got out, it would get packed.

Yankee!? Thats an insult! Cincinnati's not the deep south but it certainly aint Mass or NY!

I love me some skyline chili. Reminds me of home.

It is freaking nasty...it also looks like something my dog left on the lawn

No, not really.  But it brings back memories.

That is the nastiest shit I have ever eaten. Tastes like it's out of a can nasty.

Is it the kind of chili that's brown and not red like its supposed to be?

One of the first places I go when I visit home.

I loves me some skyline!!

Regular 5-way and two cheese conies with onions and mustard.  Been ordering that for over 10 years!

[#21]
I eat there at least twice a week.  As a bonus, a couple of cute waitresses work at my local Skyline.

Never even heard of it. Sounds like ALPO.

Kroger carries skyline chili mix to make at home.

If they don't just ask a manager to stock it and they will

I think our family and maybe one other buy the damn stuff around here.

Is that the chili with the fucking cinnamon in it?
8/10/2007 1:55:39 PM EDT
[#27]
We used to live in Ft. Mitchell KY. We ate at Dixie  when I was a kid. Tried Skyline and Goldstar later when I'd visit. I like them all. It's not chili like Texas chili at all. You can't compare them. I love Cincy chili. We make it at home maybe once a month.

I make a mean pot of chili from scratch. makes you look like this + =

I see your Mexican boy and goat and onion and I raise you one mexican little sister and a bottle of tequilla and some lime. Oh wait I thought we were gambling. thread-jack? must be friday.

I ate there once on "All You Can Eat" Tuesday...  It made Wednesday "All I Could Shit"

ha ha ha ha must be laxitive in a can.

I've made that chili too.

Skyline isn't bad.  I have it a few times a year for a fast food change of pace.

Skyline varies from location to location. Right now, I'm burping up Habanero chili/cheese chilitos. Lotsa beer helps; and it is too sweet. It's bar food, not a sammich. The best Skyline I ate was run by a family from India. Go figure...

It good stuff. I don’t like the chili plain. But with spaghetti and tons of cheese and onions and hot sauce its delicious.

The cheese coneys are great too.

Not into the "sweet" taste in my chili.

Love it, I am from the Cincinnati area though.
8/10/2007 6:04:47 PM EDT

I think it's okay, but it's hardly chili.  It's more of a mysterious brown puree.

[#44]
My local Skyline posted a "no guns" sign.  A year ago, I could carry a gun and smoke in there, thanks to Ohio voters and the store manager, I feel like I have to ask permission to eat there.

But I love Skyline, and enjoy eating at the franchises that allow my handgun.

I never liked it fresh from their restaurants I doubt it would be better from a can.

Not Yankee chili, no self respecting Yankee would eat that stuff either.

Just had 4 coney dogs with everything today for lunch.

Super!!

As a Cincinnatian, I hereby decree that:

Skyline Chili is the absolute worst of all the chains. It is watered down, uses inferior beef, and generally tastes like crap. Their cheese is the only thing that makes their food edible.

I also hereby decree that the acceptable chains are: Dixie Chili, followed by Empress and Gold Star.

It shall be forever remembered that Skyline sucks ass.

Miller Chill should be similarly banned. It sucks.

Witness my hand and seal of this court.

I guess I am going to be the odd man out in this thread among Ohioans, but I actually like Skyline better than Gold Star.
