First responders monitoring lactate? Package and transport. Let the hospital worry with the lactate. And for glucose, a fingerstick is a lot easier than injecting someone with a chip. Might be useful for a diabetic, since they'd be able to get continual glucose readings without having to stick themselves. Last I heard, though, there was a big problem with the monitoring contacts getting coated over by the immune response and thus the sensor would become worthless; have they figured out some way to prevent that? |
