I just recently purchased a new camera and it came with a utility program to xfer the images from the camera to the appropriate photo editing software that came with the camera. I also have adobe photoshop album starter on the computer from a previous install. When I plug in the camera, Adobe Photo downloader auto launches before the Canon utility is up and running. I can get to the EOS utility, but it adds a couple of steps and is a pain in the backside to deal with every time I plug in the camera. How do I go in and change the application that launches when a camera is plugged in? I know I could probably uninstall adobe photshop album starter but I would like to keep it if I can. Thanks all, |

Check if there is a setting in the Adobe software that tells it to start automatically. If there isn't, then (for WinXP) plug the camera in, let the Adobe program open and close it, and then open the control panel and look in "Scanners and Cameras" and right-click the camera icon there, and open its properties and there should be a list of program options in there to choose from to open it with. You can check any program you wish, add a program that's not there or uncheck all of them so that nothing happens. ~ |
