Holy cow! I just bought a 6pk of Sam Adams Cherry wheat & dang is it ever good!

I like Leinenkugels sunset wheat so I figured I would give Sam Adams a shot. It is sooooooo good!

The black lager is pretty awesome.

I have a Mr. Beer DIY beer making kit, and I make stuff that is a clone of SA for about 1/4 the price.

Sam Adams is probably the best mass produced micro brew. All their 21 or so flavors are excellent. I like the winter lager and the scottish ale.

Cherry wheat isnt bad. Make a "Chocolate kiss" which is 3/4 of a imperial pint of Sam cherry and 1/4 glass guiness. Guess which one sits on top? . A (4) pack of guiness and a (6) pack of sam cherry wheat are just enough for about 6 drinks

Hey now, don't diss Mr. Beer. I take water, sugar, Malta, brown sugar, hoppes and oats from a local brewing store, American-style yeast, about 2 weeks, plus another 2 weeks in the bottles, and I make a beer at 11% alcohol content and awesome flavor!

When I went up to Maine a few weeks ago, I found the microbrew Shipyard Ale to be excellent.  Much better than Sam Adams Boston Lager.

I haven't drank a bud, miller or a coors since I was a teenager. I'm 46, & like good beer! I will look for some of the brands you mentioned.

My favorite is Alaskan Amber.

Much of the rest of their beer, though not bad, is not particularly special.

Try a Belgian or anything from Dogfish Head, Unibroue, Victory, Smuttynose, Stone, Alesmith, Russian River, etc for a truly great beer.

I had their IPA. Did not like it at all. That may not be reflective of the rest of their brews but just my limited experience with them. YMMV

Sam Adams summer variety pack kicks mucho ass. I really like the Hefeweizen.
