My XP is corrupted so it has many problems.  Now Outlook Express has stopped working in that it is constantly trying unsuccessfully to send the one message in the outbox.  I can't fix the OE.  It uses 60% of the CPU when OE is running and trying to send.

I removed and reinstalled OE using appwiz with no joy on the problem.

Also deleted everything in the all folders sept inbox and the outbox.

I'm having to use the roadrunner webmail and that POS sucks.

The other option is to buy an SATA drive and make it my C: drive.  But we just spent $2600 on the car and a doctor so that set back the computer project a bit.

So, Reinstall XP or just bite the bullet and buy a SATA?

If I get an SATA HD what should I look for?  Faster is better.  What spec denotes a fast one?

Format and reinstall is a quick easy fix.

Unplug your modem, Open OE, let it fail or go into Accounts and remove the email account, let the send fail then go in and delete it.

Or install Thunderbird and use it
