Is this considered the base entry level model? I saw a price of $599 new. Is that the avg retail. I couldn't find any used ones in the EE,so what would an unmodified one cost used. I'm not rich,so if I want one,I'll need to go the least expensive route other than a build. I don't feel I could do a proper build at this point. Thanks, Goblin |

Where did you see it? "A1" probably refors to M16A1 features--usually the carrying handle and rear sight. Very few semi-auto AR15s or AR15 clones come/came from the factory in M16A1 configuration. Most people wanting that configuration put an M16A1 upper half on an AR15 lower half and call it good. Fulton Armory and, IIRC, CMMG make/made some M16A1ish ARs. It is not the "base model." |
