bout 70 feet depends on the hydroscopicity of the delay pellet it self destructs for the same reason at about 1000 meters.

Does anyone know about how much those grenades weigh? Just trying to get a handle on just how hard those things hit. They start out at about 1200 FPS, and then speed up some when the rocket starts, correct?

And that is just from the initial charge, they speed up at some distance when the rocket starts.

unfired it's about 2 pounds. I am not certain on the velocity but you see it hit you before you hear the woosh from the launch.

a little off-topic maybe, since I've read in books about people "fishing" with other types of explosives, but I've never understood why when a fish dies it floats to the surface, shouldn't it sink?

A buddy of mine from work is doing a police mission in Afghanistan right now. Emailed me the other day about his new assignment, apparently he works in the armory over there and issues out and collects weapons from the local "cops". Says when he's aggravated he just goes out and pops off a couple RPG's. Apparently, they are kinda fun to blow shit up with.

I'm still debating on going. He took my idea and ran with it since he's single. His house will be paid off when he gets back. My wife is kinda on the fence with me trying it out.
