Give Benelli the serial # and they will tell you. Not all HK marked Benelli's are pre-ban. Also, check the date code. BA, BB, and BC are 91, 92, 93. BD is 94, so it can go either way. Best bet is to call and find out.

Like the above poster said, not all HK stamped Benellis are pre-ban. HK was still importing Benelli shotguns after the '94 Crime Bill. Anyhow, as a general rule of thumb, any Benelli M1/S90 with a serial number of M198003 and below may safely be considered pre-ban. In addition, any M3 with a serial number of M1967xx and below may be considered pre-ban. However, don't take my word exclusively for it. Always call and verify before you buy. You can either call Benelli USA or Heckler & Koch USA. I'm sure the numbers can be found on their websites.
