Was cleaning some very dirty Ar's today and broke out the brake cleaner, which is something i rarely use. Like a retard i hosed off the guns in the backyard. Fast forward to tonight. My 6yo comes inside "Dad, what happened to the yard?" Huh? Go look outside and i have about 6 nice new brown spots in my $3,000 professionally landscaped back yard. Ooops! wife is going to be pissed! Maybe i can blaim it on the dog? Or go to walmart and get some green krylon.... |
...of the yard, dingbat.

So what do you do? Catch the run off in a trash can or something? |
Garage with cement floor with a drain. Hose down when done. |
![]() At this point maybe you should just do the whole yard so she couldn't spots where you cleaned the rifle |
The brake cleaner evaporates quick. I would think you can catch it in something and just let it evaporate on its own. Since it eats tar I would stay away from catching it in anything made out of soft platic as it will probably eat away at that too. |
