Every now and then the little bastard's (laptop) screen will freeze up. But tapping the edge of the screen lightly will unfreeze the sonofabitch.

What the fuck is wrong with it?

The reason I started tapping the screen is because it froze up in the first place, the screen freezes as it was, but the rest of the computer doesn't.

Yeah the tapping loosens up the bearings.

Your monitor needs to be lubed. Proper maintenance is the key to superior performance.

How old is this thing? What kind of use / abuse has it seen? What happened (if anything) out of the ordinary just before it started "freezing up?"
