ETA: this thread was a mistake. I'm obviously just some dumb fuck kid that shouold mind his own fucking business. My only point with this whole thing was that this kid will have to grow up sometime. I'm 18 and many of my peers are still not mature enough to be called adults. Their parents protected them from day one to 18 years. IMO, being a child (1-18 YO) is about growing up. When you turn 18 you shouldn't need to be partented anymore. You should already be an adult. You should be ready to live on your own. Most of the time these days people don't even start growing up until they turn 18 or later. They still want to live with mommy and daddy for another 5 years. My problem is this- these kids aren't allowed to grow up. They are babied their whole life, and when they turn 18 they don't know what to do. Sorry I so deeply offended the parents of arfcom. ![]() I was in a store today and went to get a drink from the water fountains, which are by the bathrooms. I see this mom with a son who is maybe 6 years old (I'm not that good at guessing childrens ages he could have been 5, or possibly seven) take the boy into the womens bathroom with her. WTF? ![]() The kid was definitely old enough to be going to the bathroom by himself. Maybe it's time the mom cut the kid loose and let him use the mens room. I imagine this is a bit of an invasion of privacy for the ladies. And no, I'm not refering to parents that take their babies or toddlers into the bathrooms with them regardless of gender. That is fine- they aren't old enough to be on their own, and they aren't even old enough to know the difference. But this kid I saw today was old enough to be going on his own. His mom probably taught him to piss sitting down too .And don't get me started on women using the mens room when there is a line for the women's bathroom. I was at a movie theatre when some woman did this. Every guy just kind of glared at her as she went for a stall. How rude! |
Now that you mention it, there was a family/handicap restroom there, but they didn't use it. ![]() I'm not saying throw the kids to the wolves. Toddlers still need supervision, but this kid was proablay already in kindergarten, or more likely 1st grade. There comes a time when you let em go and tell them to hit any perv in the balls and scream if something happens. It is going to be pretty awkward for this boy when he hits puberty and his mom is still watching him pee in the ladies room. |
Uh. maybe the mom had to go and wanted the kid to be safe with her. An equally important topic: Do you look like Radar in real life or is your avatar someone else? |

There could be all kinds of reasons, including plenty of medical ones. Have YOU ever had to carry around a bag hooked to your bladder or bowels? WTF do you even care? It's not your kid. If it bothered you that much why didn't you wait for them to come out and then ask? |
Perverts are not stupid. They wait in bathrooms... Look at it from their perspective...only takes a minute and the kid is aone in a stall. They are hunting kids just like you would wait over a water hole for a deer. I hate child molesters...really really hate them. |
+1 And with my 5 yo - to make sure he doesn't touch anything except the paper towel I hand him if he needs to wash his hands. First post for me in a loooooooooong time. Howdy, fellas! |
Welcome back Tate! I don't see anything wrong with what happened. All of the womens toilets have stalls so he wasn't going to see anything. BigDozer66 |
well child molesters can attack at any moment...I say children should be kept on leashes till they are legal adults and a child molester will no longer be interested.

Why does it bother you that it bothers me? Why don't we just have unisex bathrooms? Why don't we jsut combine mens and womens locker rooms while we're at it? You guys may not be grasping the entire picture. The kid was not some little tike. The mom said "Lets go to the bathroom" and the mom shooed him along and he opend the door to the womens bathroom. He wasn't some toddler that was led around by the hand. His head stood almost chest height of his maybe 5'6" mom. If it was for medical reasons fine (but why empty your cathedor at the grocery store?). I got the distinct impression that the kid was just being pussified by his mom. He'll be quite the momma's boy when he grows up. |
Maybe she doesn't like cleaning up his cannon fire if he stands up. ![]() On the second maybe he has a medical condition (which is very common) that causes him not to be able tell when his rear is clean? He will grow out of it if that is the case. It beats him smelling like crap and having other kids make fun of him. BigDozer66 |
In lots of places in Europe they have unisex locker rooms. Surprisingly, no one really gives a shit and somehow society has continued. Again, if she was going to be in there for a while it wouldn't be very responsible to leave her very young child alone in an unfamiliar place for an indeterminate period of time. |
Okay read the whole thing now !
Ok you are a dumb ass kid , that knows nothing at ALL about how to be a parent , IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS !!! And why the HELL are you watching THEM so CLOSE ??? |
OK, I know I shouldn't bump this thread anymore, but thank you for the thought out post. I can see where you're coming from. And thank you for not just calling me a child molestor because I noticed this interaction while getting a drink of water.

| I don't have kids, but I've seen this a million times. If I had children, I'd probably do the same. Back when my younger brother was a child (early 80's), either my parents or I would escort him to the men's room and wait outside while he was in there. I sure as heck wasn't going to go in there with him, so I waited at the door. I don't see a problem with that. What goes in must come out, right? Of course, times have certainly changed in 20+ years, and I certainly understand not wanting your child out of your sight. Like I said, when/if we have children we'll probably do the same. |

Although this thread should probably die, how would you feel about a 2nd grade girl in the men's room with her dad watching you take a leak...or your wife joining you in the store talking about the little boy that was in the ladies room with his mom that was trying to look under the door? I know it sounds like there's at least a couple of molestors in every public restroom according to this thread, but what is the correct age to not be in the opposite sex's bathrooms? |
