By the way....SWEET ASS CAR. |
128 mph NA? |
Yep car is NA. |
That seems very fast for a NA vette? What elevation where you at and what did the car dyno? I have a friend with a Z06 with a built 427 MTI motor and he barely goes 121 mph off the bottle. |
CHECK THIS OUT |
Man, that is a BEAUTIFUL color... I couldn't find one without the cinnamon leather... so I went for Silver Gray Metallic |
|
LOL....You can say that again. But I'm pretty mellow on the road these days...one speeding ticket in almost 10 years now. |

no good pics of it but I've got an '87 300zxt . JDM motor , t3/t4 turbo (63ar don't remember the other half , 500hp is at the top of the flow chart IIRC) . 450cc injectors, Jim Wolf 450 modded computer . mustang cobra MAF , HKS SSQV blow off valve ,240sx throttle body , solid motor mounts (very much needed) . suspension has been gone over as well as 300zxTT brakes put on the front SS lines and the whole works (larger master cyl as well . I like stopping just as much as starting).viper GTS borla exhaust 3" from the turbo back. plus lots of other crap. I still need an intercooler and now a rebuild as I hole'ed 2 pistons from running slightly lean at 18PSI . when its running its a complete sleeper , no one expects an older nissan to be this quick (corners ,straits and stopping ,it is a street car) , especially when its not a TT. best time was like 8.1 in the 1/8 before I got carried away building it. my fast ride is a 91cbr f2 but thats another story (and a sleeper). |
My boss likes to race the little rice grinders that think they are the shit in his ford van. No fast cars for me though, Im trying to build one, but we'll see. |
| 89 rs, 6.0l, l92 heads, LS7 cam, spec flywheel, ram clutch, t56, 3.42, pro 5.0 shifter, cometic gaskets, arp fastners, stock rockers, patriot gold dual springs with ti retainers and super 7* locks, l76 intake, 42lb injectors, holley 90mm tb, more to come. goin for 12s for now... 10 flat is the goal.. along with a corner carver street attitude. |
![]() Magazine type pictures, "built motor" but no specifics whatsoever, "slow" to him while running high 10's, no mention of nitrous but clearly visible in picture, trans. brake is hardly worth mentioning... |
beautiful car their man . I want a G35 coupe (I've got a family now and need a back seat) . its a far cry from what my car looks like , the clear is missing in large patches on it . ETA : forgot to add that when I had it running last highway crusing at 100+ mph would net me mid 30's mpgs usually right at 35mpg. I figured thats not to bad for 400+hp 3.0liter thats 20yrs old . in town I could run it down to around 12mpg. |
2000 mustang 3.8l electric green.....wont embarass you all with times

![]() Built for yours truly in 2000: Custom/modified softtail frame Buell factory race engine + minor head, carb and misc work. Dynoed at Mitchell's Harley Davidson in Modesto, CA (103hp, 98lb/ft) Much of it is bolt on, but custom touches include: * Pipes (minus tips) hand made * Rear fender braces frenched in * Rear brake rotor cut down * Front fender shortened * Hand made seat * Hand made dash (installs with 3 screws and 2 minutes - on split tanks, no less) * Oil Tank stretched (cosmetic) * Hand made louvered panels under oil tank to hide misc ugliness. 12.9 @108 (informal test with borrowed computer clamped to handlebars - also used to calibrate electronic spedometer) I always figured that with the right tires on a proper track, I could shave a few tenths off. But alas, it's never seen a real track. Like most Sportsters (didn't notice that on the first glance, did ya?) it kind of falls on it's face after about 100mph. I built it to look cool. She ain't a drag bike. Besides, after about 100mph it's a royal pain in the ass (literally even) to ride the thing. Still, it's pretty quick and the best part? It's the best handling softtail I've ever ridden, bar none. You'll note that I kept the ride height up. I love the twisties, and I've got scrapes on the bottom/sides of the pipes to prove it. |

And then there's this one. Sorry, not a 10 second ride. ![]() 13.5 @ 103. Stock, buuuuuuuut (and I mean a big but...) ~70 degree day Tires at 15psi Bag of ice on intake (heat soak is a problem with these) 3500rpm launch, 6000rpm power shifts (defined as foot glued to the floor while shifting with clutch) To call this a consistent 13.5 car would be an overstatement. That's a best time, and it's not easy to repeat. |

I don't own one BUT I got to drive one... (my high school buddy's new toy) Saleen (pre-market Mustang) Silver, rag top, supercharged 600HP to the frame, completely modded out with a new forged and bored engine. Last weekend we got it up to 165mph. That is one tough car to drive, there is NO slip in the clutch but it will chirp in 4th gear. There was a G-force meter in it but it HAD to be wrong, get into second, hit the gas and lord have mercy! The G-force gauge only read .5G, it sure felt like more. By far the fastest car I've ever been in. |
nah..I know the guy, or did back when his car just had a 306 w/nitrous... yeah he likes to show off, but I don't think he's BSing |
IIRC wasnt it for sale on EE or something like that? It was featured in a magazine hence the pictures. |

there is always someone on here that has to post a minivan link before I can. Here is my car. ![]() 86' Omni GLH Turbo. I will be throwing the motor back in it in the next week or so. It should run some easy 12s with slicks, but this last fall I had a hard time hooking in 3rd with the auto cross tires on it that I run on the street, so we shall see. |
