I am repainting my house and need some advice. I need to know how to estimate the amount of paint needed. I will be using an air sprayer. Thanks |

1. don't use an air sprayer, use brush and rollers. 2. use good paint, Sherwin Williams, Kwal Howell, Benjamin Moore whatever. Don't use HD crap paint. You don't see pros buying paint at HD do you? The money in painting is all in the labor, use the best materials you can. 2a. Use Oil based primer (latex primer is worthless) and prime before painting. 3. 1 gallon of paint should cover 400 square feet brushed. I don't know about sprayed, but that number is probably much much higher for spraying(which goes back to #1) You should search the DIY forum, we've had this topic a couple times. |
