I'm a little surprised I haven't seen this here. From the Houston Chronicle: Boy in Dallas suburb predicts startof WW III day before attacks By R.G. RATCLIFFE Staff The day before terrorists attacked New York and Washington, a fifth-grader in a Dallas suburb told his teacher World War III would begin the next day, school officials have told the FBI. The boy was absent from school the day of the attacks, Sept. 11, and the following day, but has been at school since then, said Rhonda Lucich, a director of elementary education for the Garland Independent School District. Lucich said the boy approached his teacher on the afternoon of Sept. 10 and casually told her: "Tomorrow, World War III will begin. It will begin in the United States, and the United States will lose." Lucich said the child's statements were passed along to the FBI. She said she did not know whether the agency had acted on the tip. An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment. Lucich said school officials are concerned, but not alarmed. "It is one of those things I sincerely want to believe was coincidental," Lucich said. Lucich declined to name the elementary school involved. She said she was told about the boy 's comment by his teacher and the school's principal two days after the Sept. 11 attacks. She said the boy is multiracial but that she does not believe his ethnicity includes a Middle Eastern background. U.S. officials believe Middle Eastern terrorists linked to Saudi Arabian exile Osama bin Laden are responsible for last week's attacks on the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. Garland is a northern suburb of Dallas. Two charities in the neighboring suburb of Richardson have been investigated in the past for possible ties to Palestinian terrorist organizations. The Global Relief Foundation Inc. and the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, both based in Richardson, have been investigated on allegations they raised money for Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization. Both organizations have denied such activity. |

Follow up story: FBI finds no link in boy 's remarks, attacks By HOUSTON CHRONICLE AUSTIN BUREAU Staff Law enforcement officials have closed their investigation into possible connections between terrorist attacks and predictions made by a Garland fifth-grader that World War III was about to begin. Garland police spokeswoman Stephanie Funk said Monday that FBI agents interviewed the child's teacher and decided no further investigation was warranted. After the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, an elementary teacher in the Dallas suburb told her supervisors that on Sept. 10 a boy had told her World War III would start the next day in the United States and the United States would lose. School officials, concerned that the child may have heard a conversation relevant to the attacks, passed the tip to the FBI. Steve Knagg, communications director for the Garland Independent School District, last week said the teacher later decided she could not be certain the boy had actually predicted World War III would begin on the same day as the terrorist attacks. |

No offense, Brou, but this is the same BS as all that Nostradumbass stuff. Something big happens, and people rush to the Nostrildamus books to look up some unintelligible, cryptic verse proving that Nostradomo predicted it hundreds of years prior. Now, I say WTF good is a prediction if nobody can understand it until after the event? How come nobody hears of these uncannily accurate predictions until it's too damn late to do any good? ALL of this Nostradildo stuff is just plain BS. |

You obviously didn't read it all...this boy said, on Sept 10th, that a war would start in the US on Sept. 11th. Then he didn't show up to school. What are the odds of that happening? It's not like his statement was unintelligible. And, how do we know that he didn't read an e-mail or a website that the terrorists put up? The FBI aren't investigating, so we'll never know. |

Saw a show on Nostradamis that was done in 1983 (Orson Wells hosted)this weekend, talked about ww3 starting in 1999. Started by an attack on NY, though their interp, it was nuke, by a man in a turbin (3rd Anti-Christ), the US and Russia would be allys in the war. Also, predicted an attack on Paris. Said that this enemy would be defeated. Don't know, seemed pretty freaky to watch... |

But if he could see the future, should he have known we would be using a different calender?? |
