Is there a way to see a list of the members of this board?  I know that some forums have that but I have never seen it here.

with 100,000+ members a full browsable list becomes impractical.

Not quite that funny.

I think I have another account on here from a long time ago but I can't find a way to see if it is there.

If you didn't delete it yourself, chances are it still exists. AFAIK the staff never delete accounts.

No, we do not have a member list available.  The only way to view all of the user IDs is to manually type in the addresses to individual 'user info' links:

http://www.ar15.com/member/member.html?id=1

http://www.ar15.com/member/member.html?id=2

http://www.ar15.com/member/member.html?id=3

http://www.ar15.com/member/member.html?id=4

And so on... for about 130,000 members.

I tried that method with a few "conspicuous" numbers. Look at this guy:

Member since 2001, Last login 6/6/2007, Post Count: 4.

Talk about yer silent type!

I never could find my old user name, thought if I saw it , I might remember it.

If you knew when you joined, you could narrow it down.

For instance, someone who joined the website in February, 2004 might be around 50,000.

Type in: http://www.ar15.com/member/member.html?id=50000 then check the date.

If 50,000 is on the 15th of February and you think the member may have joined on the 20th, try http://www.ar15.com/member/member.html?id=50300

You may end up pasting / adjusting 20 or 30 addresses but if you really are curious, you can absolutely find out.

If you have no idea when you would have joined that makes it pretty much impossible to find.  I am surprised that there is not a database that can be queried.

It's another way to remain anonymous / private.  Some people appreciate becoming unavailable after 3 months of inactivity.

I think 4 years and 5000 posts is a bit much for the ATF to just get a user list. They are goverment employees...

For the record, I am unemployed currently.

Hey, you think the ATF is hiring, I may have some inside info.
