I am looking to buy a program to learn Arabic before I go to college(I am going to be a Sr. in high school).

Any suggestions?

I don't have personal experience, but I've heard good things about Rosetta Stone language training.

Non Germanic or Romantic based languages are very hard to learn on your own, I hate to say you will probably have to take in college to get it right. Never underestimate a good instructor who gets paid well. Don't buy Rosetta Stone or any of the other infomercial B.S. Those programs will make you sound like a total retard. Imagine yourself in the middle of a dinner party, standing up, and saying, "Toilet! Toilet!" over and over. That's what those are like.

I've experienced and seen Rosetta Stone, it's awful! Talk to foreign nationals (internet does connect people!) who've played with it and they'll tell you it sucks. DON'T BUY IT.

+1 on the Rosetta Stone.  I have using it in my on going attempts to learn other languages and it seems to be the best one.

The best way to do learn a language is to learn from a college professor.
