Para Ordnance got 20 LPI and trigger action job.  Nice crisp 3.5# trigger and the gun won't be slipping around in the hand anymore.

Bereta 1201FP got two weaver rails.  Put the SureFire on one rail. Already for peek a boo with intruders at night.

Whats up with the crooked spot in the checkering about 1/4 inch from the mag well? Is this a dimple in the frame? Or is is crooked?

This thread makes my stomach do cartwheels.

Hand checkering is FUCKING hard.

Here's the .380 I did last year and blued in crock pot before xmas.  30LPI hand cut.

Full picture of the shotgun added.

The dimple is the factory lines Para cuts and you are very observant as the checkering is straight but the factory cuts are not .  Every Para I have looked at (8-10) have  the bottom of the roll cuts dip in deeper to the frame in that spot and the lines do not line up even the left line is the longest with the line progressively shorter to the right looking at the front strap straight on.

You can see the "shadow" in the correct angle of light throughout the entire strap/checker job.

The checkering sure makes the gun more secure in the hand compared to the factorty "cuts."

Nice job on the checkering Gonzo!  My understanding is the hand cut checkering is the hardest aspect of custom gunsmithing.  Perhaps some of the AR15 1911 smith can weigh in

I'll never try to do it again myself.   As you can see, the Star pistols have that little lip down on the bottom near the mag well.   That did not make things easier.
