Hello all!

My back has recently been jacked.  Hurts, a bunch, in one area.

I was fortunate enough to have a buddy in his TKD instructor shirt, who advised me to try tiger balm.

Fast forward to 20 minutes ago, when I was able to find some.  Bought it, but it looks [now] quite a bit like Vic's vapo-rub.

A bit is on my back.  We'll see.  If it works, I'm more than willing to eat crow....or tiger, or what have you.

So, have y'all have any experiences with tiger balm?  Works?  Worthwhile?  Anything/Nothing?

Thanks.

The active ingredient is capsaicin.

It will relieve the pain but I don't think it helps much with swelling.

there's two kinds of the stuff.

Red stuff's great for muscle aches and such
White stuff's closer to Vick's in its uses.

Both are good for insect bites, headaches.

Careful, the red stuff WILL stain.

What he said, Red stuff will stain! I use the red ( stronger then white ) instead of taking painkillers for a headache. Works great. I don't like to take over the counter pills for pain. Never tried it for sore muscles or aches.

Has it's own aroma!
