Try to get much more available, but less desirable jobs?


(just graduated, giving up on the absurdities of trying to get state or federal employment)

Take the less desirable job until you can nail down one directly in your type of work you want to do.

I think I'll be facing the same dilemma in a year when I graduate. Only problem is I don't know what I want to do career wise.

now the real problem is that the less desirable jobs arent that applicable experience wise and are in nasty suburban/ urban areas i really dont want to live in

if you need the $, you should take the less desirable job; otherwise, put your efforts into landing the job you want.

Which ever one is the most consistant and will give a long time career with job security.
