I'm really glad you didn't kill it. It's just a baby. I found one like that once in my garage, she was bearing her teeth at me and threatning to bite, but I just picked her right up in my hands and it settled down. I kept it as a pet for about a week, and during that time it became very docile and "pet like." It did get out of its cage a couple times to roam around my room sniffing for anything to eat, but I would always find it in the morning, sleeping in my shoe or inside a baseball cap. It was actually really cute. Then one night I noticed a female opposum running across my fence, and decided to let the little girl go free, so I wen't in the house and got her, put her up on the fence and she wattled her way over to the momma opposum, climbed up on her back and off they both wen't. Never saw them again. I felt like I did the right thing at the time, but thinking back on it, I would have rather kept her as a pet. Poor opposums get bashed to death by people for no good reason, or killed by dogs. I'm sure my little one met the same fate by now. |
] yea no shit. Especially when you train them at a very young age that "humans are friendly" Now we know why they are always so easily killed. thank yourself, Murderer. |
